Artist: Assigned to write and draw an original story, "The Nightingale and The Warrior," for a graphic novel anthology where every selected story had to pertain to the theme of "Samurai."

Assistant Editor: Initially began work as an intern and then worked as a part-time Assistant Editor at a Manhwa publishing company. Assigned to various book titles, published both online and in print, to edit and tweak the dialogue/direct translation of the comics scripts after they had been immediately translated from Korean to English. Also translated and implemented sound effects from Korean to English. Taught to use InDesign to insert blank text boxes over the original Korean text bubbles to then type the English edited translation into the boxes before they were emailed to the book/website designers overseas. Responsibilities also included proofreading, writing book analyses/reviews, marketing work, corresponding with website review writers, working in book storage, and working at conventions such as Anime Expo and SDCC. Have worked in office as well as remotely.

Researched the history of American women cartoonists for the “She Draws Comics” show, May 2006, helped with writing the story document for the show, contacted artists, measured/cataloged artwork, and assisted in the curatorial aspects/design of the hanging plan for the show.
